This is the new SCOTTYS BLOG and I am calling it SCOTTYS BLOG 2.0
Why a new blog? I am going to tell you why. Google locked me out of my previous blog and that story is a big bunch of shit. Sometime around the first of July, my Blogger password quit working, and I thought "no big deal", I will just re-set the password -- but every time I would try and log in using the new password, Google's Blogger would not allow me to log in. Weird. After re-setting my password about ten times, I received a notice to answer a series of personal questions, and was told my blog would be locked while an investigation was conducted over a period of 3-5 days. This was after I went through four or five attempts to "recover control of your blog" wizards that did not work...and there has been no reply!
The even weirder part is there is no support at Google for bloggers who use Blogger. The only support you get is a forum, and the pricks that moderate the forum, simply refer users who can not recover their blogs to the same stupid wizards I had used previously. The one dumb prick that dealt with my case is named Chuck Croll and Chuck the Fuck has been no help at all. Whatever dude, it is time to move on...
The Cons. I had built my blog readership up to about 500 hits per day, and most readers bookmarked my blogspot address. I have had readers who will probably never find this blog. The ScottyClarkPoker.com address forwarded readers to my previous blogspot address at that time, it now forwards readers here -- and I am really pissed off about all this. As the title says...Fuck You Google, you tight bastards. Because they offer Blogger as a free courtesy, the company offers no live support to people that use it. Typical Corporate America. I poured four years of my life into that blog, and no one at Google seems to give a shit. I even called Google World Headquarters, and when given a choice to choose from the menu, and upon not hearing a live support option, I picked the "Buy Google Ads" prompt, because you always know a salesman will pick up that call. Twice I went this route. The first salesman said he would connect me with support, and I was put into a never-ending computerized maze that did not include any live help. The second salesman said he would contact support on my behalf and send me an email that included help links -- the same help wizards I has already used, and that did not work for me. Thanks for nothing!
The Pros. This new blog will be more user friendly. The ScottyClarkPoker.com address will now refer you here and you can access my first blog at the top and it is marked "The Original SCOTTYS BLOG".
As you may have already noticed, this blog is easier on the eyes, and has a much better look as far as aesthetics go. Thanks for sticking with me, and please tell a friend about this blog...
