Miscellaneous "October Nine"

I just got in from an Amtrak ride from Chicago. It is late, I am tired and it has been a hectic last few days. If you are looking for a well-written article this week....fuggedaboutit.

The Main Event final table has had a delayed verdict for 5 years (since 2008).

Just when you got used to the idea of the "November Nine", the WSOP changed the rules and made it the "October Nine". Well, not really. It's still the November Nine, but due to the Presedential elecion in November, Caesars Entertainment has scheduled the final table of the Main Event for October 29th.

It all makes sense to me, and it should for you also...

After a 102 day break for the players, one will walk away with over $8.5 million dollars, the coveted bracelet and the title of "Poker World Champion". Day One of the final table will play down to three players, and Day Two will crown the champion. When this event began, 6598 players "with a dream" entered.
