It has been thirteen months since I have written for STL Poker, and the first thing I would like to do, is apologize to JBoyd and Timmy. I told Justin one day in the Spring of 2011, I would never leave him hanging, and if I ever quit writing this poker section, I would give him due notice. Well, I didn't. I just disappeared and wrote about it at ScottyClarkPoker.com instead.
So here is what happened there...
"Where you been Scotty?"
I kinda went broke. Not completely broke, but broken, and better players than me have went broke. My computer also went broke -- and after playing for a living for four years straight, I was more than burnt out from poker. I quit writing for InsideSTL, Ante Up magazine, and just kind of rolled into a poker ball -- like the time Phil Hellmuth collapsed to the floor after busting, and into the fetal postion. My last post for STL POKER was June 13, 2011 and after my trip to the 2011 WSOP for the Circuit National Championship Million Dollar freeroll last year. It was an honor to play in that thing, but I didn't cash (26th of 100). I went back to work for a brief time and let me tell you, shoveling horse shit for free beer and ham sandwiches is a humbling experience -- and I learned what an unemployable fuck I really am....
